Hello everyone and Happy New Year! Games with Coffee here after a long break, and I come with two announcements. One exciting and life-changing and the other a bit sad and bittersweet.

We’ll get the sad news out of the way first: Today, May 4th, 2026, will mark the end of updates here at Games with Coffee for the foreseeable future. I’ve been blogging for over nine years now, and even though I’ve taken a year or so off here and there due to life circumstances, yapping about video games on this site has been my favourite thing to do. It’s a bit sad to let go of this wonderful site, but don’t fret. The site’s not coming down, it’ll just stay as is in perpetuity until I have a reason to return to this space.

So, why is this happening? Well, I’ll sum it up: I’m now the Owner, Operator, Editor in Chief and Chief Visionary Officer of The Pixels, effective April 28, 2026. Basically, I’ve taken responsibility of the site and its operations over from my good friend, The Well Red Mage, who retired earlier this year. I’ve put together a post on The Pixels that you can check out here on the how and why this came to be.

I’ll be moving some (or all) of my old Backlog Busting posts over to The Pixels as they were pretty much reviews; they just need some rejiggering to meet the site standards. And I may still use this space to talk about my own opinions separate from The Pixels. Nothing scandalous, mind you, haha. If anything, I tend to avoid scandal and controversy wherever possible; leave that to others who are invested in that business. I’m more into the business of keeping things positive and wholesome and cheerful. Kinda like what I want to do for The Pixels, moving forward :D.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that it has been an ABSOUTE pleasure writing and interacting with all of you dear readers and followers for the past nine years. There are too many people here that I want to thank for all their support over the years, I truly love you all. Take note, I’m not going away, I’m just operating in a new role at a different space. I hope you will join me over at The Pixels, where we’re trying to get back to more consistent posting schedule starting this week. The first post? My old Sonic the Hedgehog 2 review – the very first one that I put up on the site when it was TheWellRedMage.com – redone in the new format.

Oh, and before I forget, I’m still working on the fanfic. I feel like that’s gonna be a forever project, not gonna lie haha.

Well, it’s time for me to sign off here one last time (for now!. May your games be awesome, may your coffee be energizing and may your dreams be fulfilled. And one other thing: Keep Gaming and Keep Brewing.
